August Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

    The Korean Business Research Institute has published this month’s brand reputation rankings for male idol groups!

    The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from July 9 to August 10.

    BTS topped the rankings for the 15th consecutive month with a brand reputation index of 14,857,210. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “YouTube,” “movie,” and “album,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “record,” “release,” and “succeed.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 82.80 percent positive reactions.

    EXO maintained their position at No. 2 on the list with a brand reputation index of 5,685,904, marking an 18.30 percent increase in their score since last month.

    Meanwhile, NCT rose to No. 3 this month after seeing a 43.44 percent increase in their score since July. The group’s brand reputation index for August came out to a total of 2,559,612.

    Finally, PENTAGON and CIX both shot up in the rankings to claim No. 4 and No. 5 on the list respectively. PENTAGON enjoyed an impressive 422.23 percent increase in their score since July for a total brand reputation index of 2,342,955, while CIX saw a staggering 845.21 percent increase in their score for a total index of 2,251,114.
